Ramses II built the rock-hewn temple of 
"Abu Simbel", which considered one of 
 the most important monuments in Egypt 
and the world with its rock huge statues,
the mortuary temple at Thebes, known as the Ramesseum and the great hall in the 
Temple of Amon at el-Karnak.
